Snapchatters love sharing their lives on Snapchat Stories and on Spotlight and many of those videos were inspired by Lenses you created! Lenses are at their best when they help Snapchatters tell a story, express themselves, or connect with a trend.
Join the Lensathon challenge with Lenslist before May 12th for a chance to win cash prizes $$$ by creating Lenses that are interactive, globally relatable, and culturally relevant!
To inspire you, we’ve partnered with Snap AR Creators who’ve made viral Lenses to teach you how they build Lenses that Snapchatters want to share. Tune in to our upcoming livestream on May 1st, and in the meantime, watch How to Make Better Lenses for Video and How to Make Interactive AR Lenses.
New Insights Into Posts with Your Lenses
Snapchatters posting to their stories or to Spotlight are an important part of the app! We know how important it as a creator to know more about the content posted with your Lenses. That's why we've updated the metrics in My Lenses to include posts to Public/Private Stories and Spotlight using your Lens. In My Lenses, navigate to Lens Insights, and from there to Engagement. And soon after that, we’ll be adding a way to view the public feed of posts with your Lenses from the My Lenses metrics page.
This summer will also bring some exciting updates to the Lens Creator Rewards program 👀.
Build Extra Engaging Lenses Featuring Friends
A whopping 85% of Gen Z have a Bitmoji and over 250 million people use Bitmojis every day—which is why we’re so excited for you to take advantage of the new Friends API to not only unlock personalized friend attributes like birthdays and Snapstreaks, but also friends’ Bitmojis in your Lenses. We’ve updated the rigs in Lens Studio to make animating Bitmojis much easier, and with the new Animation tools in Lens Studio, you can really have some fun. Download Lens Studio 5.0.10 Beta and start creating the next viral Lens on Snapchat!
