Play Everywhere: The Winners of the Games Lensathon

Creativity and competition took center stage at our virtual Games Lensathon. Developers from around the world had 8 weeks to build games and compete for a piece of the $30,000 prize pool. The Games Lensathon asked developers to build games that live on Snapchat, where hundreds of millions are ready to play, post, and share. From original narratives featuring Bitmoji, to creative spins on classic games, the participating developers really stepped up to the challenge..

Game Lenses could be submitted across four categories: 2D Games: Featuring 2D game assets or the gameplay is 2D; 3D Games: Using 3D assets and operating in a 3D environment; Turn-Based: Multiplayer games you can play with a friend over messaging in Snapchat; and Long-form: play multiple sessions with a compelling narrative that takes longer to complete or maybe the content changes daily. All of the games were made with Snap’s powerful, free tool Lens Studio, easy to pick up for anyone familiar with other game engines. After reviewing an incredible lineup of submissions, we’re excited to celebrate the standout developers whose games rose to the top.

And The Winning Games Are...
