WHAT IS THE SNAP LENS NETWORK?

The Snap Lens Network is a collection of the best Snap AR creators and developers in the world. 

Once you are in the network – you become part of a community of developers that thrive together and support each other. You will also receive important access to resources from Snap AR.

We are looking for developers and creators who use Lens Studio to express themselves and their skills in unique ways.

  1. What are some qualities you look for in an SLN?

    • Technical prowess: Do you show the ability to produce lenses that show a variety of skills beyond simple lens creation?

    • Craftsmanship: Are your lenses well designed and cleanly produced?

    • Originality and Creativity: Are your lenses unique and creative? We aren’t interested in duplicate concepts. We are looking for developers who do something new and unique.

    • Professionalism: Are your communications with the Snap team and other community members representative of respect and professionalism?

  2. Do you look at Lens Engagement when picking SLN?

    • Demonstrating the ability to get engagement with your lenses is super valuable to our platform! However, we want to see you achieving that engagement by creating unique lenses in order to be an SLN member. There are many other factors we look at as mentioned in the question above.

  3. Do I need to answer the application questions?

    • Yes, please answer the application questions with thorough and complete answers. We understand that for some there are language barriers but the Snap Lens Network is a program primarily supported in English.

  4. Can I share work that I’ve done on other platforms that demonstrates my ability?

    • While we will always look at Lens Studio work primarily – if you have exceptional work on other platforms – consider sharing that with us through a web portfolio. For example, the XR Bazaar.

  5. Will I receive Feedback?

    • We don’t provide feedback if you are declined – however, consider posting your profile to the Snap AR discord and allow your peers to review it with you.

  6. What are some other ways to ensure my application is good?

    • Please make sure all your links work and that we can find your username – if we struggle finding your account – you won’t be considered.

  7. How long does the review process take?

    • While we aim to respond within one month, sometimes it can take as long as three months.

  8. What are some benefits of being in the Snap Lens Network?

    • Access to Beta programs and Early Access features

    • Access to expedited support 

    • Direct to Snap AR developer relations, engineering and partner teams 

    • Opportunities to monetize 

    • Opportunities to be invited to attend first party events such as SPS and Lens Fest
