Inpainting has proven to be an essential component in the compositing pipeline for Try-On Lenses. It aims to improve a try-on experience and not let users’ real-life clothes affect the try-on of the virtual garment. Body Inpainting works by removing the pieces of real-life garments in the original image to help the rendered garment look realistic. It improves the composition of the 3D garment on top of the user background.
How Does Body Inpainting Work?
A new body inpainting component, called Body Eraser, is available in Lens Studio versions 4.22 and above. To use it, you only need to provide it with a mask of the body areas you want to inpaint based on the Body Mesh UV layout.
